Outside of Junubi Wyndham, William is a Deacon at St Andrews Parish, leading Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. As an avid reader, he enjoys exploring the many wonders of history. Through sharing his knowledge, wisdom and stories, William encourages our youth (including our very own youth workers) to look at our history in a different light and to explore the various cultures and traditions of our ancestors.

Bio

William (aka Uncle William) has an array of experiences and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life as a result of living in a number of countries. What he brings to our team is something that cannot be taught.

As a multilingual project officer who speaks English, Arabic , Dinka and Nuer, William Majak (aka Uncle William) provides support and advice to members of the South Sudanese community residing Wyndham.

This involves:
• Co-running our men’s group which aims to inspire men of all ages to reach their full potential as fathers, husbands and brothers by undertaking parenting courses combined with nutrition & mental health workshops
• Financially assisting families through family support packages
